Pharmacological effect. 1C antiarrhythmic drug class.

Indications for use. Supraventricular and ventricular extrasystoles, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and flutter, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, including Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia.

Dosage and administration. Tablets, pre-chop, taken orally 30 minutes before the meal with warm water. Initially assigned to 0,025 g every 8 h. In the absence of effective dose increased by assigning to 0,025 g every 6 hours may further increase the dose up to 0,05 g per reception every 6-8 hours, duration of treatment depends on the patient and the nature of cardiac arrhythmias can take up to several months. Higher doses inside: single - 0.05 grams daily - 0,3 g. / m VFS is administered at a dose of 0.4 mg / kg every 6 hours, V / injected at a dose of 0,3-0,4 mg / kg. Before applying the product is diluted to 20 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution, administered slowly over 5 minutes. If necessary, after 6 h of infusion at a dose of 0.3 mg / kg repeated.

Side effects. Possible dizziness, feeling of heaviness in the head, diplopia. When expression of these phenomena should reduce the dose of the drug. With prolonged use can sinus tachycardia. In this case, prescribe small doses of beta-blockers.

Contraindications. Atrioventricular block II degrees and higher degrees, severe liver and kidney failure. When I degree atrioventricular block, intraventricular conduction disorders, sinus syndrome, as well as with severe circulatory failure, VFS should be administered under the more rigorous medical supervision, starting treatment in hospital, often performing electrocardiographic monitoring. Pregnant VFS appointed only for health reasons.
